Abington occurs as community around South Cambridgeshire & consists of two villages: Little Abington and Smashing Abington.

A village history dates back to Bronze Age times some 4000 years ago. A Saxons gave the village its title, originally known as "Abba's Farm" - a Smashing & Little come much late, hanker when them manors in either side of a flow of any stream were alloted to different population at the Norman Conquest.
